The New Zealand climate is ideally suited for the production of malt whisky. New Zealand produces some of the best barley in the world, has remarkable water sourced from ancient mountains and is surrounded by a cultural heritage that encourages questioning of long-standing conventional thinking. 1919's Micro Batch release showcases the terroir of New Zealand Whisky.
The Kirikiriroa release is a reflection of New Zealand's soil, climate and geographical location at the bottom of the world. It also showcases beautifully the influences and profiles created by our custom made still which is a unique balanced expression of grains and red wine cask.
Nose: Oak, jam, raisins, caramelized fig, ripe stone fruit
Palate: Upfront vanilla, toasted oak, chocolate, cinnamon and baked berries.
Finish: Viscous and balanced with a hint of baking spices from the oak and ripe figs
