Domaine Le Grand Destre
In Provencal “Grand Destre” means “large press”: This domaine's original wine press is still present on the estate, hence the name. Between the two great wars, it was used by Francois Moricelly’s great grandfather to press grapes. The non fermented sparkling juice was immediately sold to restaurants in Lyon before the arrival of the current style of wines.
Francois Moricelly represents the fourth generation managing the family owned vineyard, where cultivating vines is an integral part of the history of the estate.
They are located in Camaret-sur-Aigues, to the north east of Orange, in the zone of Rasteau.
